I’m a single mom of two amazing teenagers, an animal lover, an avid reader, and a writer. I began my writing journey about six years ago and discovered how difficult it can be as an Indie Author. As a group, we are responsible for handling everything from finding the perfect cover designer, the most talented editors, and what seems like hundreds of other small details. I’ve had experiences with several designers and editors, but one person was with me from the beginning and that was my formatter, Amy Atwell with Author E.M.S. Over the years, I’ve learned so much from her, and decided I wanted to take a shot at formatting myself. I found that I really enjoyed it. There’s something almost magical about taking a Word doc and turning it into a final product that readers can enjoy. When Amy announced she would no longer be formatting, I shared my work with her and with her support, guidance, and encouragement, I decided to embark on a new journey. I’ll continue to write and stay active in the book community, but at the same time make formatting a top priority. Amy has graciously agreed to continue being a support to me along the way, which means the world to me. This book community is filled with some of the most incredible people and I’m thankful every day that I get to be a part of it.
